  • Closed Nailing (also called Closed Intramedullary Nailing) is a minimally invasive orthopedic procedure used to treat long bone fractures—most commonly of the femur, tibia, or humerus. In this technique, the fracture is not exposed by a large incision. Instead, a metal rod called an intramedullary nail is inserted into the bone’s medullary canal through small surgical openings. The nail stabilizes the bone internally, allowing accurate alignment and early mobilization.
